Each of our parishioners are encouraged to actively participate in our parish life. For example, being part of a ministry such as St. Vincent de Paul, minister of Holy Communion, reading and music ministry. There are so many ministries which people are called to in this parish so please click here to find out more.

The clergy and parish staff are always here to serve. Pat and Louise are our Parish Secretaries, Judi coordinates the Sacramental Program, with Sabrina for added support, and Luisa is our Youth Coordinator and Parish Worker.

2ND RITE OF RECONCILIATION
In preparation for Christmas on Monday 16th December there will be 5 priests celebrating 2nd Rite of Reconciliation at 7pm Jindalee Church. All Welcome.

PARISH COMMUNITY GATHERING
The Vicar-General, Monsignor Peter Meneely is making a pastoral visit to our Parish on Thursday 19th December at 7pm - Jindalee Church. The Monsignor will invite questions from parishioners following the address. All parishioners of the Darra/Jindalee parish are invited to attend. Afterwards we will have refreshments. Please bring a plate to share.

SAFEGUARDING AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN & ADULTS Applied Safeguarding Training (level 2) in 2019.
This training is only for clergy, employees or volunteers whose role involves providing services mainly for children/vulnerable adults, or engaging in activities mainly with children/vulnerable adults. All other volunteers only require level 1 training. Next meeting December 12th 6pm-7:45pm Jindalee Church of the Twelve Apostles. THE LIGHTS OF CHRISTMAS
Where: St Stephen’s Cathedral , 249 Elizabeth St
When: 11 – 24 December
Time: Carols commence at 6:30PM and the light show begins at 7pm (runs every 12 minutes).
Gather on the lawn at St Stephen’s Cathedral to celebrate the joy of Christmas with an extraordinary sound and light projection show. The Lights of Christmas is a free event that will delight families with music, food and childrens activities every evening.. All welcome.

YOUTH NEWS
ACYF PERTH 2019 -Upon reading this message we will be in Perth celebrating the vitality of the Church with thousands of pilgrims seeking to have a deep encounter with Jesus. We will be lifting up our beloved faith community in our prayers during this time. Your support has been life-giving in so many ways and we pray that our hearts will come back transformed and empowered to continue to serve the community in practical ways. We deeply thank you all for your contributions in making this a reality for our youth representatives. MUSIC/CHOIR/ALTAR SERVER CHRISTMAS REHEARSALS
The Christmas Liturgy preparations are well underway and we are inviting any members of community to be a part of the choir. As this is a special season we would love to embrace the gifts of new members. If you have always wanted to offer your gift to the Lord please come and share this journey with us. Music and Altar Rehearsals will be on Wednesday evenings at Jindalee Church from 7-8pm on 11th and 18th December. AGAPE PRAYER GROUP – will be celebrating the End of Year Thanksgiving Mass on Friday 13 Dec 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Jindalee Church of the Twelve Apostles. Mass will be followed by fellowship and all are welcome. This will be the last meeting for the year and we will resume our prayer meeting on 31st Jan 2020. Our prayer group would like to wish all parishion-ers a Joyful and Blessed Christmas Season and a Happy and Holy New Year. Enquiries : LP - 0401 587 624.

DARRA/JINDALEE SVDP NEWS
CHRISTMAS HAMPER Project - 2019
Thanks to the ongoing generosity of Darra/Jindalee parishioners, our parish local family Christmas Hamper Project of our St. Vincent de Paul conference is well underway. However, we are seeking Volunteers to help deliver Hampers on Saturday 14th from 9.00am to 11.30am in the Darra-Jindalee Area. If you are able to help with deliveries please contact the Parish Office.
